Born on Kick-starter, the Nextbit Robin is a Peculiar phone. But that's a good thing. Nowadays when 99% of smartphone are pretty much the same, it is refreshing to see a brand doing something different than others.

The next Robin and features a cloud based storage solution instead of forcing you to rely on internal storage or  micro SD cards, you get 100 GB of cloud storage to keep everything from apps to music and Photos. When the phone senses you have stopped using a particular big game it will be moved to cloud storage form the  32GB internal storage.

Important thing is that the game isnt deleted. Tap on the Grey Out Icon and it will be the downloaded with all your progress settings and so on intact. In theory you could have 100GB worth of stuff on your phone and even if you lose it or Break you will be able to pick up another Robin and everything will be synced exactly how it was.

It is a great idea, though probably one that sounds better on paper than it does in real life.By default you need to be connected to WiFi to re-download your stuff. If you are out, and is unable to find the Wi-Fi then you need to use your phone signal to download apps.

Nextbit Robin has two colour options- a slick ,completely black version and a mint green and white combo. There is even a Kickstarter exclusively for green and black colour scheme that looks fantastic.

Specs wise the Robin is positioned in the upper mid-range.It is quite a good phone with Snapdragon 808 processor and 3 GB of RAM.In similar move to Sony Xperia Z5 phones, Nextbit has tucked a fingerprint scanner insides the side mount.

On the back you have got 13 MP camera with Phase detection auto focus and dual led flash.
There is a 5 MP camera on the front and 2680 mAh battery that should easily get you through the day. USB-C for charging. There are also front facing stereo speakers that should give you a good hit of noise.

The Nextbit Robin is a charming phone. It's not trying to overthrow the likes of Apple or Samsung, but it's doing things diffrently and offering something simple you simply cant get elsewhere.
